sim: I only knew a few Amiga Anthrox guys, such as Picard who ran USS Enterprise, and Ice who did a lot of trainers on Amiga and was a huge inspiration for me. I didnt really know the English guys, the ones responsible for the Amiga demos. I just ran a small BBS on Amiga for Anthrox, and then went completely console around 1993. SNES was very similar to the C64, it was a lot of fun hacking and learning it.. GBA was a lot like the SNES but with a better CPU and newer graphics modes. And like always, I gave away my source code so someone else could learn and have fun!

@ -Pan-: Were not you familiar with some ATX fellows on the mighty Amiga too? 1nd, thanx a lot for your good GBA tutorials. I learnt a lot from them while coding my own GBA intros. Cheers man!

Just to clear some things up:
There was a European cracker group called Paninaro and a person (American) called Paninaro around the same time.
I later shortened my handle to -Pan- when I started doing consoles (GameBoy, Genesis, SNES, GameBoy Advance), just after I left the C64 scene.
The US importing group Occult changed its name to Optical, and disbanded shortly after that.

...and the yattering too ;).
Cheers Mason for the info.
Greetings to the group and to the us scener as well.
|
|
Paninaro were a us scener and a european group. Tri-Dos was member of Paninaro like he was member of Ikari before that.

|
Sir Garbagetruck:
Was Paninaro a member of Ikari UK back than (a person called Tri-Dos)? Or these two persons are different? Paninaro = Pan?

SWEET, Finally I have Paninaro's NTSC DYCP Intro again!
This is the intro that I saw and said "ok, it's all been done." I'd been trying to do a 'sinus scroller' for some time, and had gotten the idea for DYCP but hadn't seen it done nor was I particularly good at manipulating charsets quickly.
Paninaro later went on to be in Anthrox and do a ton of work on various 8bit consoles.

Damn, I hate those different groups named the same way =)
This one will be renamed to occult_us-01 then, I've also another one from the same US group, none from the canadian ones; as always, send if you have.

|
Occult-01 is a Canadian group from 1992 or so ... the intro on this page is US based group from 1989/1990
