Great memories. The sound should be available here, too.
Dr.j 2016-03-02 23:32
Great memories from the best scene times ever!
Rudi 2015-09-05 20:36
Sweet memories!
Wixxa 2014-05-17 20:16

Bug Guts 2013-06-22 06:19
hellz yeah i remember getting these games in Toronto and bringing them back to Quebec for friends. classic!
Capitaine 2012-12-05 19:19
@Hewitson, just like FM radios hammering songs to make "hit music".
Great music and basic overrated intro, but people saw it so many times, they started to love it.
That's what large audience is.

That said, ESI is C64 fame, like Triad, Fairlight, Ikari, ...
Zore 2012-07-20 18:30
Iconic!
Tristan 2012-01-06 04:53
Yea... there was a version of this with the basic CMB 1x1 charset, the 2x2 (?) that you see here. Also I think I've seen one used that didnt have the scrolling gray scale on the text scroll. The black pull-down of the screen wasn't used in a certain version either if I remember correctly. So long ago.

Good times. I miss those days. I use to run a commie BBS that was netowrked with 17 other boards. My node was never free. Use to Download all the zero day warez in the UK and post them here in Ontario Canada as well as some of the zero day stuff from Cali. Those ESI are hallmark. all those AT commands are starting to flash back and even some of the phreaking methods to avoid th LD charges BAHAHAHA. those days are gone. Kids dont have a clue what they missed out on. Cheers all..
Hewitson 2010-12-07 02:58
While the ESI cracks were among the best, I cannot understand all the praise for the intro. It's one of the most boring and basic intros anyone's ever done.
Changeling 2010-12-06 00:21
664 FREE..Lighthouse was ATC HQ i called it a lot on 9500488+1+areacode+# hahah
I remember Italian Stallion 1670 Phreak Software was used to hack all the 950,800 codes to call 0-Day Warez.
Best BBS i can remember was Lions Den 516 (Long Island)
ESI HQ!!!!

@37 now, those days were the best years of my life. Thank you ESI UCF TSC TRIAD FBR ETC.. for the memories. I used to download via phreaking just for the damn intro's and intro music. Fuck I wish things were the same. the digital millennium act signed by dick head a fucked us all. I still have the damn bbs phone numbers embedded in my head 313-743-2209 (lighthouse) 619-461-9152 (i forgot name) CCGMS was my client! atdt *82,,6194619152 LOL!!!
Fungus 2010-11-27 08:49
Bacchus I respect you a lot, but I cannot think of anything more BORING than cracking Freeload, Cyberload, and Novaload over and over and over ;)

Mitch did it all, Fat Tracks, Pirate Busters/Slayer, Prodos, V-Max (give Fight Night a try!), Rapidlok, Para-Protect, XEMAG, Keydos, all of it... quite an achievement with no silly freezer carts to help you out. Only ROM disassemblies, a monitor, maybe some homemade hardware (like drive ram expansion and an NMI switch), and MAD SKILLS!
Rough 2010-09-20 02:06
the picture is marvellous, the intro a classic, was even ported to SNES (by Censor?)

some music used:
Footballer of the Year/Ben Daglish
Bulldog/Ben Daglish
R1D1/Antony Crowther
Future Knight/Ben Daglish (e.g. on The Train)
Zig Zag/Antony Crowther
Seeker 2010-04-16 16:57
I like the HandyTerm 8.6 intro the best.. Hmodem was so much faster than the others and gave us eye candy during those 1200/2400 baud transfers.

Where is the best place 2 find everyone? with torrents anyone can gain access to the new releases.
The Last Nina 2010-04-15 23:02
As i grew up in the 80s we all had C64 with lots of games at home, cracked by ESI, Triad, Pappillon, Dynamic Duo, etc. And to be honest, when i'm looking back, i still get "goosebumps". It was such an exciting time for all of us. All groups were heroes for us, cause they allowed us to have and play games that we never could bought us. I say "thank you" for all your good work, time and effort. We had a great time.
.klinke /TCLI/C4F 2010-04-11 16:43
i did an cracktro based on this style, too - cos i luv it (still today)! just other pic (koala painter used), own tune (done with dmc) and (of course) own blablashit-msg.

greets, .klinke

btw, RD2M tune (that msx at SkateOrDie cracktro) is da best ever! :D
djgfg 2010-04-01 13:59
superlevel.de was cracked with this intro at 1th april 2010
Stormbringer 2009-05-17 14:38
Win32 Remake available at retro-remakes.net.

Bacchus / FairLight 2009-01-25 00:48
I have to comment this piece:

"I actually can not recall any crappy game cracked by Eaglesoft "

As cracker you took on what was ahead of you. I never turned done a quality release (where I as a cracker did a job I was proud of) as it was a game I personally hated. Who was I to judge if people would like the games?

I guess most of you who love this intro are Americans.
ESI cracked mainly EA games, and it seemed the Multi-disc stuff such as Bard's Tale were both released first in the US but were also bigger over there. On this side we were more into action games.

On the crack PiraSlayer Boot was a nightmare ... once! having done it once, it wasn't so hard the second time around. I still respect ESI and still love the class of the into, but cracking the same PSB protection over and over again still isn't THAT impressive...

(Was that a flame for you guys? ;-)

always64 2008-12-07 05:54
best eva!
Jazzcat 2008-10-25 10:19
I researched and produced the history of the group, it's located at: atlantis-prophecy.org/recollection/?load=online&issue=1&sub=article&id=2 - A photo of me with a t-shirt with this intro: atlantis-prophecy.org/recollection/gallery/photos/jazzcat0810082.jpg
Blah 2008-08-26 08:40
wow...flashbacks!!! (and i didnt do drugs back than!)

cheers
Fungus 2008-08-16 07:22
Best intro ever! I remember seeing this intro on the best cracks ever. Mitch rules *RESPECT* After cracking some EA games I realized how good you really were, Damn this intro being back some fond memories! 80's ftw.
Goblin'87-93 2008-08-02 02:03
Hi I was on Scene from 87-93. Wasnt ESI from Long Island area? I remember they had a lot of bbs's that had their 0 day WAREZ.
Zyron 2008-08-01 12:09
I'm pretty sure Gobots by Daglish was used as well.
Stormbringer 2008-07-31 20:46
tunes used were: R1D1 by Antony Crowther and Future Knight by Ben Daglish
Romulus Hackerz 2008-03-21 01:25
ESI rocked with the newest Microprose and other complex awesome C64 warez. I always knew I had quality when I saw that eagle with a disk in his mouth!
lego 2008-02-20 12:20
Classic - but they where definately wrong demos. Even their "crappy" intro survived their warez/releases. Who gives a f*ck about Mini Putt these days ;-)
jazzman 2007-12-10 23:55
i loved the sound of it but don't know how to open. i hope i'm not confusing something.

legendary
Asterix! ex RFO/ATc/FBr/Exc 2007-06-10 11:44

HäZe / PsYkO! (France) 2007-06-05 02:17
intro maker or not, never mind...ESI was just cracker and not demo maker so why speak about intro coding... (So...yes why coding for making this ...? so lame that it could be made by a simple intro maker...)
lordsnipe 2007-03-22 08:20
Does anybody know all the tunes used for the ESI intros?

I would love to look em up in the HVSC and play them. I know one is Fernandez Must Die.
adam the axe 2007-03-17 20:21
ESI still sux LOL - luv ya adam the axe
Medicus 2006-11-07 19:17
Seeing this intro meant to me : " Another quality full-price game" ... I actually can not recall any crappy game cracked by Eaglesoft
a 64 lover 2006-10-24 14:56
this ESI intro was one of my favorites, a true legend..but IKARI was my n1 group, the c64 was a great time

ESI rocks the usa :)

Ze Smasher 2006-08-22 12:04
yeah, that might help too :)
TWR 2006-08-22 10:22
Get a life instead. ;-)
Ze Smasher 2006-08-22 00:06
fuck you diazepumdrug!
hey Zyron, it would be great if you could add a voting system! So we'll have the most commented intro, the most downloaded one and... the most liked intros, too!
Ninjasbane 2006-07-30 22:26
I'm not so sure Lady Hawk was a member of ESI. I know she did a screen or two for them, but when Gunship was released (a screen in which she credits herself) she was in Thee Supreme Council.

Since Lady Hawk is never mentioned in a ESI scroller as a member (AFAIK), I'm willing to bet that she did the screens freelance.
Jazzcat 2006-07-28 12:56
The person who did the graphics for this and the other "eagle" intro (and the "prism" intro also) was Lady Hawk.

Lady Hawk was not the only female member of ESI, also Scorpio (Carol) is too.
Style/CHM 2006-07-23 05:17
Nice to see some oldschool fuckings in the scroller :)
ESI-Addict 2006-07-11 23:32
yups the Super Cycle intro would be cool.

Thanks for all those wonderful working cracks ESI.
Still love and remember you!
GoTchA 2006-06-23 16:25
As far as I remember great artwork for that state of time! Always enjoyed the eagle-warez...
Blazay 2006-04-21 04:42
A famous intro but it was made with an intro maker...
Flame 2006-03-16 16:29
best eagle intro track:
Mounty Mick's Deathride [Ben Daglish] 1/1 (1987 Gremlin Graphics) :)
Fozzie 2006-03-04 22:10
I'm still tryin' to rip that Super Cycle intro! Why is it so hard to rip? The Sky Fox 2 intro and the Ikari Warriors intro (NEPA diss) still need to added also!
lancer 199x team 2006-03-03 22:23
a classic and very good intro. Not technical but still somehow attractive - just what an intro should be.
General Zoff 2006-01-27 15:11
Why is everybody so exited about this intro ? ...

The painting was great but the rest is crap !

Nevertheless ESI was a big player and has my respect ...
Mr. Crowley 2006-01-19 16:33
Wow, I get bored at work and I find old c-64 stuff. I hadnt thought of ESI in a while....brings back good memories.
USSPE 2005-12-25 17:29
ESI used an intromaker to make this intro. Disassemble the code and you will see.
Tristan/Empire 2005-11-28 18:10
I think there were about 3 variations on this intro. I dont mean different music either. Something with the charset and the color scheme.
hespora 2005-11-21 20:47
I seem to recall this intro around with several different tunes... someone remember which ones those were? I'm especially looking for the one used in ESI's release of "The Train"
Untouchable Cracking Force 2005-10-19 12:04
The leader in quality warez.
nd 2005-09-27 00:06
is playing mitch once again.
Kyle 2005-09-08 13:58
Mitch, who did the pic ? oh...and thanks for getting me addicted to Rush with those lyrics... ;-)
Eagle Soft 2005-09-07 22:14
NO it wasnt!

I coded 100% asm, except for the music code
that was already coded, good old interrupt driven music

-mitch
UCF 2005-09-02 08:53
"I remember when i coded that"?!?!!? this intro was made with the intromaker by Trevor Edwards (UK).... LOL! Search for it!
davester 2005-06-11 19:25
Another ESI intro always meant a long but very funny scrolltext!! My favourite is their quoting of Pink Floyd's "Brain Damage" lyrics.
Kickback 2005-05-18 05:42
Yes this is one of those intros that has gone down in the history books as one of the all time favorites!! Brings back many memories!
Chotaire 2005-05-11 00:08
Without any doubt THE milestone of the 80's.
The Thinker /TWG USA 2005-05-07 02:37
I bugged out the first time I saw this intro. ESI is definitly alltime kings in my book.

THe Thinker / TWG USA
Morpheus / Flash Incorporated 2005-01-10 13:21
For me, this intro is as classic as the Triad and Fairlight intros. I always got a wooooo-feeling when the intro came up. I got an interview coming with Mitch soon!
The Sneak 2004-12-27 03:04
Thanks to By-Tor & Scorpio for this masterpiece!
Centi 2004-11-30 08:00
The ESI Intro from Super Cycle is still missing in this ESI Intro collection.

Cheers

EagleSoft 2004-11-24 08:34
Cool Hu,

I remember when i coded that!

mitch
Kree 2004-10-26 18:03
THE C64-intro, despite the fact that I never liked the music they used. ESI was the coolest group back in the days.
Dr.j/The Force 2004-08-02 01:26
the music is supererb. the first time i saw this intro
i said: Wow. really classic.
janer 2004-07-04 21:12
always great musak!!!
Hades 2004-07-02 15:47
very cool music in this crack!!!
bortman 2004-06-14 22:08
The best intro of all time, reminds me of the good old times without autotrading ;)
TWR 2004-05-11 14:08
This intro is very cool !!!
Sokratekk 2004-05-06 10:14
Have you seen the mutated eagle in the Anti-ESI-Demo ´Fried Chicken´?
Shokray 2004-03-26 08:34
Never really liked their intro's much, but ESI is a milestone (somehow) in the long c64 history.. ;)
Trurl 2004-03-25 09:28
One more memorable thing was that the music ran too slowly on PAL 'cause this was an NTSC intro.
Kyle 2004-03-21 11:52
The first version of this intro only featured a 1x1 CBM font with no colours / sprites. And yes, Crest made a modern remake of this famous intro.
old scener 2004-03-18 18:48
maybe , if not the most famous intro ever?

was it crest who did a remake of this intro in their demo?

Kyle 2004-03-10 00:53
ESI used music for this intro mainly from Ben Daglish and Antony Crowther.
Merman 2004-03-07 23:07
The CLASSIC Eagle Soft intro!
